This year, the CineHorizontes writing residency has been awarded to Lucía Bussión Berrendero for her screenplay * I choose the land *, a project that reflects the humanist spirit of its author and gives life to deeply believable characters attached to their roots.

Jury : Isabel Berman, Pablo Garcia Condé, Sophie Lahure, Adriel Marote, Juan Carlos Ramirez.

For over twelve years, CineHorizontes has been promoting screenwriting through its writing residency. The project selected by our team receives a three-week stay in Marseille, which ends at the close of our edition, and a grant.

This year, the jury chose a pre-written screenplay, " I Choose the Earth ," by Lucía Bission Barrendero. The author drew inspiration from a family story that highlights the difficult decisions faced by her grandfather's generation, who had to leave the countryside to seek a better life in the city.

The winner also becomes a member of our Grand Jury for Fiction, and her work is supervised during these weeks by screenwriter and director Marcia Romano. In addition, a series of professional meetings related to the film industry in the Southern Region are organized to introduce the creator to all the possibilities offered by film production in the area.
